What are the the examples of uterine replicators in a misogynistic setting as an attempt to make women obsolete?

I notice that the positive examples here tend to be the work of female writers. Maybe the whole "it's so dehumanizing" aspect of the trope is an unconscious manifestation of Stay in the Kitchen on the part of male writers? I'd add this speculation to the main page, but I'd want to see a more exhaustive survey of the literature before committing myself. -YOS
