Subtrope of "Urine Trouble", need a catchy name. One character sees a wet spot on the floor or bed, and naturally assumes a pet or partner peed there. Often it results in said pet or partner forcibly thrown out on their ass.

  • In "Porky's Badtime Story" (Clampett, 1937) the spot was due to a leaky roof. Gabby Goat looked thoroughly disgusted, thinking Porky Pig had wet the bed, till he felt a raindrop and looked up.
  • In Depatie-Freleng's "The Froze Nose Nose" (1970) the Aardvark is frozen solid after a dip in a very cold lake. He climbs into his bed—currently shared with a large and irate sleeping bear—and turns up the electric blanket. The heat melts the frost, creating a huge puddle. The bear wakes, assumes the worst, and belts the dozing aardvark so hard he flies out of the cave—back into the frozen lake.
  • In The Happy Tree Friends webshort "Junk in the Trunk" Lumpy spies a huge puddle on the floor and blames his pet elephant. He later realizes it's his washing machine, which he had overfilled earlier, flooding the house. When he goes to apologize, however, he finds his elephant, heartbroken, has run away from home. Hilarity ensues.

Hm . . . "Not As Bladder As You Thought"? "Wet Warning"? "Mistaken for Golden"?
