Uranus is actually an ice giant, same as Neptune. The gas:liquid ratio isn't high enough to qualify as a gas giant.
A related thing I've seen in a few Greek Mythology inspired works is spelling the deity Oranos as opposed to Uranus. Is it a legitimate alternative spelling or an attempt to stop the giggles? If the latter then it may belong on the list.
This trope is so dated that even, of all, Hentai felt the need to lampshade it. A dub started like this: "Uranos...<beat>...hey, it's funny every time again!" (Citation needed.)
Should the Enterprise/toilet paper joke go under "Live Action TV" or "Miscellaneous"?
Edited by AaronOfMplsCan I change the caption for the Uranus pic to "Uranus looks irritated."?
Edited by EkronDyeWouldn't a better trope name be 'Uranus Is Gaseous?'
Hide / Show RepliesDitto on that. I thought this was when someone unintentionally has their backside exposed (ie: via a hospital jonny) and someone points it out. Is there a trope for that?
I will not be understood. Understand?!A bad Uranus joke for you guys. One of Uranus' moons is cracked.
"The full moon of Uranus has a huge crack down the center!"
If I recall correctly, the proper Greek translation would actually be "u-RAH-nus." But that spoils the potential for vulgarity and bad puns, now, doesn't it?

Really hoping you can have a compound of arsenic and uranium. Arsenous uranate, or something, or uranious arsenate.
