My guess for the talking cricket is the Blue Fairy revived him.

Is there a trope for the Unexplained Recovery of things? Like a car being as good as new after being totally crashed in the previous scene, for instance.

If the Ranma example really quoted "I Got Better", the example has to be tweaked a bit since that's not the name of the page anymore.

Wait, why did they remove the additional I Got Better tags? I don't mind changes, but I still want the option to this as I Got Better in all my tropes!

Because I Got Better is gone. It was cut due to persistent misuse. You should not be using it at all.

The trope title and definition changed significantly, making quite a few examples no longer applicable. The Mass Effect example of Shepard in particular no longer fits, as there is quite a bit of explanation as to how Shepard came back from the dead.

I'm starting to wonder when tropers are going to realize that people all over deliberately pot holing this trope where it doesn't fit (but the name does) is a sign that some opposite of the It Got Worse trope is needed.

I hate the idea that the trope name changed, but this does seem like the smarter thing to do.
