- "Vlad Masters, to the eponymous Danny Phantom.
- Actually sort of a subversion / inversion—Vlad actually likes Danny (in a twisted, Affably Evil way). His big dream is basically to steal Maddie back from Jack and make Danny (and Jazz, to a lesser extent) his own adopted children, something which they, as you can imagine, find rather unsettling."
Although Vlad doesn't want Jazz around that much -in one episode, he's perfectly happy to have her killed along with her father, while he 'rescues' Maddy and Danny from a situation he engineered. I'm just glad he doesn't seen Jazz as his goldfish.

Not sure if this is the usual procedure for suggesting a trope image, but here goes: can we use a picture of Severus Snape talking to Harry Potter? After all, this is probably the best known instance of this trope.
Evil Overlord Rule 142: If I have children and subsequently grandchildren, I will keep my three-year-old granddaughter near me at all times. When the hero enters to kill me, I will ask him to first explain to her why it is necessary to kill her beloved grandpa. When the hero launches into an explanation of morality way over her head, that will be her cue to pull the lever and send him into the pit of crocodiles. After all, small children like crocodiles almost as much as Evil Overlords and it's important to spend quality time with the grandkids.
