It seems like there are two tropes going on here:

  • Someone accidentally says something which is definitely a Double Entendre, but they didn't see it that way
  • Someone says something completely and totally innocent in a context or tone of voice that makes others attempt to interpret it as dirty, which is what the description seems to be talking about.
Personally, I think we need to split it so the former is its own trope. It's related to That Came Out Wrong, That's What She Said, and Innocent Innuendo, except unlike the first, the character may or may not notice or feel particularly embarrassed, unlike the second, no one says "that's what she said," and unlike the third, nobody is misled. And it's not Accidental Innuendo, because it's in-universe rather than an accident on the part of the creators.

Basically, we're talking cases where someone could very well respond with a That's What She Said, but doesn't. "See? I told you it was small." (And it's a cell phone.) "They're so huge and round and soft!" (And they're bread rolls.) Etc.

Yeah, it's pretty weird that there are two page quotes and neither is an example that fits the description below them.
