Since variousotherbandpages have influence sections, I've decided to try and make one for Type O Negative; before I put it on the main page, I want to try and get a discussion going here with suggestions for artists that influenced TON's sound.
What I've got so far: The Beatles and Black Sabbath are the two obvious ones that are always mentioned. Josh Silver cited Pink Floyd as an influence, so I guess they could be listed. I can hear a bit of My Bloody Valentine in their sound, I don't know about anyone else, and there are most likely some goth rock and industrial artists that served as influences. Including Carnivore might be a good idea too, although it might be cheating somewhat.
