I was wondering if someone would make a page for this game. I remember when it came out. I was working at Gamestop at the time. So much hype, so many preorders. The day after it was released, we had about 25 calls (I'm not exaggerating, either) asking either if a new game out of the wrapper could be returned or what the trade-in value was. Everyone who had played the game vowed never to buy another South Peak release. Ever. Which proved fairly wise, considering such gems as Vampire Rain and Monster Madness.
On the other hand, Two Worlds was absolutely hilarious, and I picked it up for $2 the other day, because it's worth that much for the sheer spectacle alone. If you've ever wondered if a game is worthy of commentary by Mike the the bots, this is your chance to find out.
Hide / Show RepliesThe game was mediocre, but me and my friends had a ton of fun poking fun at the way they talk. Sometimes we still say "Mayhap" at random.
The one-liners were the best. "Reminds me of my in-laws!" Also how the villagers a) can't decide how to pronounce the name of their town and b) can't pronounce anything else either.
I found the game to be genuinely enjoyable, and even found myself getting used to the So Bad, It's Good speech pattern demonstrated in the game.
Having had no experience with the first one, I must say I'm finding the second one thoroughly enjoyable. It's almost everything that I'd hoped Oblivion to be and what I've been searching for ever since I was bitterly disappointed by that. About the only thing that I find slightly annoying is that it's not quite open enough, sections of the map unlock gradually as you go through the story and dungeons are locked until you're given the appropriate quest. You can never really stumble upon things, you have to be told about them, and since monsters don't seem to respawn you have very little reason to return to areas you've already explored.
