Pulled this:

Reg always struck me as a notably different version of the character from the Doctor Who incarnation. He doesn't actually say he's thousands of years old, just that he retired about two hundred years ago and doesn't remember much further than that (Cleopatra isn't indicative of anything on that point, because he's got a time machine) and I don't think he says anything about different faces either. The way the time machine operates isn't exactly the same as a TARDIS either. More to the point, they're not considered "canon" to each other; that is, if someone asked "Whatever happened to Professor Chronotis after 'Shada'?" in a Doctor Who forum, I don't think anyone would seriously reply "Oh, we known that; he met Dirk Gently, and then his TARDIS stopped working altogether because someone fixed the phone." (Jokingly, perhaps.)

Removed: "The kzin, from Larry Niven's Ringworld, are essentially a whole race that's a transplant — since their creation, they've showed up in Star Trek, Star Fleet, and even Dungeons & Dragons. "

They're not a transplant as it's defined at the top of the page. They're a crossover or cameo. They never stopped appearing in Larry Niven's own work.
