In other words, this trope is basically Car Door Slams You, right?

Say there's an in-car fight. One of the combatants gets thrown out of the car through an open door, but clings to the door itself. The driver intentionally clips an obstacle with the door, either ripping said door clean off or just dislodging the hanger-on.

Does this count as a Toyota Tripwire, or something else?
