So most of the text explains how Giles isn't a strong example. Probably best not to list it. Angel is in there too — but once we remove Giles we have no details for how he is an example.

  • Buffy The Vampire Slayer:
    • Although a member of an organization that calls itself "The Council of Watchers", Giles acts more like a true mentor than an actual Watcher; Angel, at least in the early episodes, better fits the type.
    • In the episode "Helpless", Travers implies that Giles' behavior is not typical of a Watcher, and that his fatherly love for Buffy is exactly what make him useless to the Council.
