How does the Jedi council count in this? They didn't do anything in secrecy. They are not in control of the situation. And most of the time they are in council is that they are in a war meeting, not anymore different than any mission briefing.

I feel like this trope has been misused a lot on this page to refer to "any time characters talk cryptically" or "any conspiracy organization". Those are their own tropes; omniscient council is a more specific one. I don't know if I should trim a bunch off the page myself, but perhaps someone more confident should.
