Let me remind you that, in Real Life, these examples can't harm you. They are fictional, and the definition of fictional is "does not exist in Real Life." Yeah, I noticed that myself after seeing someone say so in the wikitext. Maybe someone with Java Script experience and appropriate permission can add a script to pick a different image depending on nightvision setting?? It would be cool to get it to work regardless of a given display setting.
edit: side note, does anyone know the tvtropes equivalent of mediawiki's nowiki tag? Above, I tried capitalizing Java Script (as is proper) without the space but it treats it as a link to a trope by that name (as in Java Script), and neither <nowiki> nor [nowiki] does anything on here

There is a moment in Cinderella where the stepsisters tear up Cinderella's dress, and there are a couple of POV shots of them lunging toward the camera. Does this count at this trope?

It's a reference to the picture of Weeping Angels at the top of the page.
Weeping Angels are terrifying creatures from Doctor Who which can and will move any time they are unseen by human eyes... including those of the viewer. Now think again about the statement you quoted from the bottom of the page.

Seeing as how no one seems to like the Pinky Pie picture, I'd like to share an idea I had for an alternate image: The Little Shop of Horrors example, where Twoey attacks the people in the cinema. Won't be much less scarier, but at least it's clearer that it's not gonna get you for real, it actually happened in the movie, and I imagine LSoH has a wider fanbase than MLP. Just an idea.

I don't think deletion is needed here. I did decline the thread however, because "many people" are also supporting the image and the arguments against it are not compelling.

Just wondering, can't we have different pictures for different browsers? Just so that the font matches what it would look like in, say, a Mac, which uses the meatier Helvetica (?) over the oddly stringy Arial (?) font that is seen in Windows...
Can we get rid of the MLP picture? Sure, the hoof going over the text is funny and all but it's sourced to a fanfiction that doesn't actually break the fourth wall at any point and with the amount of hate for Fi M and it's fandom there is it's basically nothing but a controversy magnet.

MLP doesn't even contain an example of the trope.It's just a goddamn cartoon. There are shows that pretty much revolve around this.
Could we atleast make the bottom of the image smaller,the white overlaps the blue bar thing. Also, the show has examples of forth wall breaking,sure-but pinkie pie escaping to hurt real people isn't even in fannon. Maybe weeping angels? That could turn out cool if we do it right.
