I'm wondering if the recent British drama series called "The Coroner" actually fits this trope. Jane, the titular Coroner, is a Coroner in the British sense: a solicitor who aims to establish the basic facts of death (unlawful killing, suicide, accidental death, etc) but has no medical role, which is performed by other characters. Is she still a coroner under this trope, or some sort of an aversion? If neither, where does she go? I'm thinking that a series called "The Coroner" ought to be on this page in some capacity, though.
