Cut this bit for the moment:

  • This is possibly what Sekai eventually does to Makoto in School Days.
    • Not that it lasted long anyway.

Okay, I admit that I have not seen the show. However, several references both on TV Tropes and wikipedia indicate that Sekai thought she was pregnant (late period, vomiting, and being a melodramatic teenage girl - whether she actually was or wasn't is never 100% verified to us OR her) and no indication whatsoever that she attempted to become such on purpose.

Unless I'm missing something, there's no trap there.

"Kicks off the Starship Troopers series of books. The possibly Unreliable Narrator immediately notes both the difficulty of accidentally becoming pregnant (this is set in the distant future) and the easy availability of DNA testing, as well as that he's apparently a virgin... but also notes the woman in question is the spoiled scion of a high-society family which effectively owns the government and courts, and that he could just be the one male she knows who can be shanghaied into a marriage."

that must be a mistake, Starship Troopers (by Robert A Heinlein) is about a high school graduate fighting in the Bug Warswhile explaining the importance of civic values.

Given the use "Series", I kinda assumed there was a second series by a different author that used the same title.

Moved that here:

Just because it sounds like a different series altogether.
