Here's the TRS where it was discussed: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=16809648140.12482200&page=1
Not quite. It's about a specific inaccurate portrayal of pterosaurs in media, which is what it was supposed to be about in the first place.
Edited by Arawn999I asked this before but got nothing, if an attacking ferocious pterosaur being turned into something non-threatening counts as a subversion.
For a pretty good look into this topic (especially the refutation of pterosaurs as lizards...or even dinosaurs, and the claim that birds are descended from them), here's a video entitled Pterosaurs are terrible lizards.

Since the change was done without prior discussion, I'm bringing it up on the Image Pickin' thread.
Asking if a pterosaur being turned into something non-threatening is a subversion.
Why was this changed from Ptero Soarer to Terror Dactyl, and thus went from inaccurate Pterosaurs and their features in general to only evil inaccurate Pterosaurs? This seems a bit backwards to me considering just how many examples were lost to the change, and how many good or nuetral Pterosaurs aren't mentioned elsewhere. I also don't get why Blinding Bangs went extinct as well.
