A notable Real Life example is the pharmaceutical company Pfizer refusing to sell their drugs for the purposes of executions.
Real life example: My mother's father (I don't consider him my grandfather because he died 10 years before I was born) was an inventor and co-owner of a purse factory with his brother. Thus, my mother's family was pretty wealthy in the early part of her life. When World War II rolled around, some people approached the brothers and told them that if they would convert their factory to munitions, they would make millions. My mother's father, being a Technological Pacifist, refused to have any part of making munitions and sold his half of the factory to his brother. That was the end of my mother's family's money.
