Would the potential use of the Osterhagen Key (cf Dr Who - Stolen Earth) be a valid candidate for this trope? Or is there another one for Scorched Earth?
Is it this trope if a group of people each do suicide attacks, one by one, targeted at a single enemy? In the example I'm thinking of, said enemy is relatively unharmed by each suicide attack and they know it; their goal is to slow this enemy down as much as possible or to annoy the enemy to the point that he stops.
I don't think it's a Last Stand because they're not truly desperate. They're just REALLY reckless, impulsive, and concerned with their pride.
