- Who Framed Roger Rabbit- After being flattened like a pancake, Judge Doom suddenly gets up to reveal he's a Toon while initially looking like a 2D realistic flat figure waving around while giggling. Doom then proceeds to re-inflate himself in an unnatural way that pops out his fake life-like eyes to reveal his constantly shapeshifting exaggerated/hyper-realistic Toon eyes while still wearing his human mask, while having a voice that's sounds more like a siren. And then he proceeds to reveal he can turn his hands into golden weapons. The whole situation feels like a scary fever dream.

- Don't rely on YouTube or other URL links: Don't put in an example that entirely boils down to "watch this YouTube video to understand what the heck I'm talking about!" Not only will people not always have the time or speakers to watch the clip, but the entire example will become worthless if (and in many cases, when) the video is taken down for copyright violations or just isn't available worldwide. Clips should be supplemental material only. Similarly, there is no reason to "Rick Roll" someone; it is just a waste of time. And URL link pages should make things absolutely clear what information you are searching for. A 10 page review of an episode is not helpful for a single trope. However, if you notice a dead link, it's suggested to replace it with a working one if that's an option.
These examples use an external link in place of details.

- Works by Tom Neely surely counts (NSFW)
- Street ofCrocodiles or any short of the brothers Quay.

You know, with the current description so fixate on nightmare, it's just weird that there's no mention of A Nightmare on Elm Street, not even why it isn't this trope.
