Would Darths & Droids count? I'm pretty sure it never literally says "suggested by", but at the same time, it was literally suggested by Shamus Young, after DM of the Rings ended.

Doesn't fit the description of the trope - it is not someone saying that a work should be created but more of a lampshaded In Name Only adaption
