I wouldn't say the description is poor, just a little sparse and dull. The name is punny and funny. A trip through YKTTW could fix this up. Linkage.

Eh? I read the page. I just don't see how choosing a weapon for a reason other than it's atk is really any different than how any other piece of equipment is chosen.

I can see HOW this could be a trope, but it really needs a trip through YKTTW and the scope could be broadened (A piece of equipment used for a bonus other than the one it is intended to fulfill - ie: Picking a sword to give a bonus to spellcasting). Cut it, send it through YKTTW

I can see a trope here, too. Choosing a weapon you can't possibly use just for a stat boost is different than choosing something that gives you a boost when you use it.

Still, a better description and more examples would help.
