Then there was the snail who was tired of everybody calling him "slow." He came into some money, and went into a car dealership, asking for the blackest, fastest, sports car they had.

The sales rep showed him the car, and he agreed to buy it, but with one stipulation: "I want a big yellow 'S' painted on the side. 'S,' for Snail."

"We can do that, but it'll take about four hours."

"I'll be outside, munching on your lawn."

Four hours later, he slithers back up, and the car is ready. The sales rep handed the snail the keys, and a copy of the paperwork, but had a question: "Why did you want the 'S' painted on the side?"

"So that whenever I drive by at 75 miles an hour, everybody will say, 'Look at that S-Car Go!'"

Oh, I see you mentioned the leatherback. You know, that would be a badass name to have "leather back"

That thing you said about the fast swimming turtle, that's actually accurate to turtles in real life, especially leatherback sea turtles.

Can we change the page quote? I feel like it goes off on a tangent that has nothing to do with the trope, and therefore doesn't illustrate the trope very well.
