I am just going to throw this out there: but normally when a non-rodent is being referred to as a rodent it is meant as an insult, not a scientific fact.

Depends on context, I suppose. I've not uncommonly heard rabbits, moles, weasels, etc. being called rodents unironically in real life.
Is this supposed to have intentional examples? Because this page seems like a complain-y Did Not Do The Research trope at heart. Things like the designs for the wolves and large cats in WOW, for example, are clearly intentional.
