Pulled this from the Discworld section:
- Not to be confused with Yetis, which are trolls made of ice.
There's nothing in the books saying yetis are made of ice. In their most sizable appearance (Thief Of Time) they're apparently hairy creatures, but Lu-Tze says "their wool is spun out of rock", suggesting they have the same silicon base as regular trolls.
