...hmm. That may not have been the best wording, in hindsight. I wonder... a tentacle whip would also be able to grasp and grapple things, and would presumably move on its own, but it wouldn't be something that looks like a whole living being and wouldn't really bite or poison targets.
My first instinct would just be to cut the mention of tentacles and leave it at that, but I'm kind of curious to see what other people think.
Well for my money it could go here at least until a tentacle whip page gets made — they're both living whips after all.
Then again, combat utilizations of tentacles generally include flailing or whipping them at people, so examples where it's clearly being used as a whip might be hard to prove. The example that immediately came to mind was the grappling tentacle from dead cells, but I can think of few others.
The first paragraph says "snakes and tentacles." Since afaik there is no tentacle whip page, would examples from that go here?
