Would this apply to Luigi in Mario Kart Tour? Before the game was released he was advertised as playable in pre-release media, but when the game initially released there was no playable Luigi. Eventually he was added in the Halloween Tour update to coincide with Luigi's Mansion 3 being released.

flag edit: nonbinary flag but Luigi

While I don't have time for the research, I do know that sometimes people don't WANT to be credited highly. Sometimes they're worried the film will be a flop, sometimes it's not their usual style, sometimes they know that if they're credited, the only people going to see the movie will be their fans, so it won't be so successful with the general public.

Sometimes, like Robin Williams, they're just sick of being used as the main advertisement for a movie.

Examples like these should be removed.

I feel like the Kick Ass example should be removed, because I remember seeing the character in spoiler tags prominently in the trailers (specifically, I remember him jumping off a crate and hurting his leg, driving his car saying "oh yeah, you love us," and grabbing a katana off a rack) - so prominently in fact that I was able to guess that he was actually a villain before seeing the movie or reading the comic. The poster art and DVD case for the movie even shows him as prominently as Kick-Ass, Hit Girl, and Big Daddy, and the actor did interviews before the movie, though they all go out of their way to hide the fact that he's a villain - Christopher Mintz-Plasse looked particularly uncomfortable answering questions like "what was it like to play a superhero?" - which is odd in that, while that's a twist in the comic, the movie makes it clear before you see him in costume.

I didn't go ahead and remove it, though, because it's entirely possible that most people actually didn't notice him in the trailers - but if other people's recollections match mine, we should remove it.

Would a "Sir-Not-Appearing-For-Long-In-This-Movie" apply to "Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths"? We see the evil versions of Hawkgirl/Azrael and Martian Manhunter shortly before the Joker's GOOD expy, the Jester, takes them out with a suicide bomb.
