Shouldn't this be supertroped? I mean: Kragle (LEGO MOVIE), V'ger (Stra Trek), Zardoz (Zardoz)...there are many non-street-sign examples.

I saw an image on the Internet of a "PLEASE KEEP OFF THE GRASS" sign that had part of it broken off to read "EASE OFF THE ASS". If anyone can find it, we could put it in the image section.

I'm almost certain this only applies to one modern production of the play:

  • In Guys And Dolls, the Mission's cross sign is also used for the T in HOT BOX. Without it, it becomes HO BOX.

RL version: An old Stuckey's next to I-4 between Tampa and Plant City went out of business. They used to sell truck fuel and had a sign advertising it. After some time of disrepair, half the sign fell down, and people taking that off ramp were greeted with large green letters reading "DIE".
