Because no one yet has bothered to do the wick check or TRS required to change it to YMMV.

Edited by Keaton4tideI trimmed some of the film section down, but basically if people are disagreeing on what the signature line is, then the movie doesn't really have a signature line. What it has is a lot of memorable quotes. Monty Python's Holy Grail is a good example. It has a lot of great quotes to the point where its been quoted to death but clearly no one quote defines the movie or is THE quote the movie is remembered for.
Below is are two movies I don't feel qualified to prune myself (partly because they predate me by decades so any of these quotes may have been deemed the signature line at different points) so I'm bringing the discussion here. Do either of these movies truly have a singular signature line or a series of memorable powerful quotes?
- "Toto, I have a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore." (The Wizard of Oz)
- "I'll get you, my pretty, and your little dog too!"
- "Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!"
- "There's no place like home."
- "Lions, and Tigers, and Bears. Oh my!"
- "I'm melting! Melting! Oh, what a world!"
- "Here's looking at you, kid." (Casablanca)
- "If that plane leaves the ground and you're not with him, you'll regret it. Maybe not today. Maybe not tomorrow, but soon and for the rest of your life."
- "I am shocked - shocked - to find that gambling is going on in here!"
- "We'll always have Paris."
- "Round up the usual suspects."
- "Louis, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship."
- "Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world, she walks into mine."
Why isn't this a YMMV trope?
