I actually thought the same thing about an independant PTSD page (unless it already exists, but it doesn't seem to be the case). Overall, I think your idea is good, though I'd like to hear others opinions on the subject.
Also, in the case of a PTSD page, we would have to check the YKTTW section.
Ten years late, but I agree

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWait, where does Chrom mention having flashbacks and nightmares? I didn't notice any such thing and even reread the script for chapter 6, but still no mention of something of the sort.

This is an All Blue Entry. Describing the example with just potholes is poor fashion. It needs some more context.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - Fighteer Hide / Show RepliesHey there, leaving a notice and a motion to remove the second page quote from Babylon 5. Personally, I think it requires either knowledge of the series or expository context to fully understand the implications of the quote, which I feel the first page quote already does quite well. Giving this a week, then will pull myself. It'll be on the quotes page for future reference.
um im new here but i think there might be an entry missing from the tv section /buffy the vampire slayer she suffered from ptsd twice once in the second season and the second time in season six just putting it out there
I know nobody ever answers these things but...
Can this overlap with Cloud Cuckoo Lander? A Cloud Cuckoo Lander is a character that is in her/his own little world and a Shell-Shocked Veteran is a chracter who believes they are still in a world at war.
I also have an idea for a character and I want to know if this matchs the definition of the Shell-Shocked Veteran:
... No. There's something, but it isn't enough to go on, I don't think. The two meet under the banner of insanity; and most shell-shocked veteran's aren't usually mad, and Cloud Cuckoo-Landers are not necessarily insane either.
Always do right. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest. — Mark Twain
I think this topic should be either split or renamed. Most of the examples are about someone suffering from PTSD, but only half of those could be described as 'veterans' of any kind. Maybe PTSD should get its own page and this one should be a subpage. Alternatively simply change the trope to be more of a general 'shell shock' trope.
