It really bugs me that the shades of morality category uses black and white to represent evil and good respectively, showing a considerably biased writing about colors and potentially racism against people of colors, particularly black people. I don't mean to bring up the political thing, but I wonder if there is another better alternative to the labeling like Good vs Evil, Bad vs Evil, and Bad vs Bad?
Hide / Show RepliesYou might try to argue with that point, but think again: even the "light and dark" imply strong bias against everything "dark", including the color of human skins. I know there are trope pages titled Light is not good and Dark is not evil, but then the representation of light and dark in this page will inevitably contradict with those two pages. Again, there are lots of "tropes" with absurdly biased language written in them in this website.
Is White vs. White seriously Lighter and Softer? Isn't it more like the most horrible conflict of all, since everyone involved is a genuinely decent person and every casualty is a genuine loss to the world?
Hide / Show RepliesGood point. However, it should be noted that White vs White will try to avoid blood shed if at all possible. Expect lots of people to settle for incapacitating their foes rather than killing.
Which shade(s) did Parenthood use? I know that Black vs. Grey and Blue-and-Orange Morality are not used.
