Just wondering: Would the Star Wars movies count for this at all? The "Second" trilogy was made and released first by almost 20 years, and which point the first chapters of the story were eventually made. I realize that the whole idea behind this trope is related to *importing or exporting* installments of something out of order, but i wonder if the general idea of "we see the second part first" would fit the SW example?

No, when Part 2 is seen first because Part 1 hasn't been made yet, it's a different trope — perhaps Prequel, or UnInstallment, or Anachronic Order.
Ace combat 3 was released in europe (This troper a pal copy) it was stripped down of all the anime and scenario branch feature available in the japanese original game. So even if ace combat 4 and 5 doesn't show any number it's not 'Sequel First'
