I feel the "Winning isn't everything" quote should be at the top of the page partly because it's from real life figures (Sanders and Lombardi), but I'm hesitant to have three quotes at the top. I'd like to ask opinions - should it be left as is, take one off, or have three?

All of a sudden (Maybe because I'm watching Starcraft tournament replays), I'm imagining something like Sports Illustrated and ESPN talking about Ash's chances in the upcoming tournament, complete with analysis of his teams, past performances, injury reports, all that jazz.

It's too bad there are only a handful of straight battling tourneys per year in Poke!Japan. And odds are that Dent is going for Poke!Musicals; so even if those are just searching for old masters for more song styles and/or plots, (i.e. a different type of badge quest,) we probably won't see Ash in mini-tourneys of the week/month anytime soon.

In fact, Anime!Contests would be the sport most likely covered that way, given that there are so many of them at the local levels. I could see those getting the coverage that FBS games get, while straight-battles are stuck with FCS-level action. (For those across the pond, think Premier vs Championship, which is what the C stands for.)

On the other hand, I could see the Regional Battle Tournaments getting two hours a week for ten weeks on ESPN with most non-star battles only getting final faints (if even that in the early rounds) until we get to the quarters. Sort of like their coverage of another quasi-sport that relies on strategy

Norman Chad: Giselle is from Pokemon Technical outside of Cerulean. I believe they're called the "Rambling Wreck".

On Topic, however, I blame Nintendo Gamefreak/TPC Nintendo for leaving Ash's most recent/upcoming Tournament performance a bit wanting. Imagine what the writers could've done if they didn't have the Nintendo/Gamefreak/whatever!-imposed Cosmic Deadline. He likely would've lost anyway, but it just as well could've been to Jimmy in the final, as opposed to a Diabolus ex Machina in the Semis.
