The FFVII entry isn't necessarily correct. It's just as likely that Cloud's hallucination was attacking him, shaking him, falling toward him, etc.
I think the example listed for Puella Magi might be wrong. In the openeing credits It always looked more like it was Homura and Madoka, rather than two Madokas, so either me or the OP of that example got confused on that bit.
In the Johnny Test Adult Fanfic, "Crossed Lines", Chapters 40-42, Joanie West finds herself in Porkbelly, and not only has sex with Johnny Test, but both Test sisters!
What, no mention of Sonic x Scourge? I'm surprised the fandom hasn't harped on it
"Incesturbation"
God, I love that word.
"Stealing is a crime and drugs is a crime too BUT if you steal drugs the two crimes cancel out and it’s like basically doing a good."This trope is disturbing because, not only does it have the longest "fanfic" section I've seen yet, the "fanfic" section is longer than film and literature put together. That just... says something about fanfic authors...
Hide / Show RepliesThere's a lot that could be said about fanfic authors (and I am/used to be one, so I'm allowed to say it). For instance, that the average perpetrator of fanfiction has the literary talent of a packet of crisps. And the average perpetrator of self-insert fanfiction has the literary talent of a single crisp without the packet. (That's not to say there is not good fanfic out there. I happen to know some brilliant fanfic authors.) Or that about 10% of them have at least 90% of the ideas, so 90% of fanfiction is all the bl**dy same. And of course, it takes a lot more effort and ideas to come up with a story, even in an already existing universe, than to have two (or more, or, in the case of this trope, less) characters do the nasty. Actually, there could be a trope there. Fan Self-Service: 80% of all fanfiction is sex.
Why, oh why, oh why, does Know Thyself redirect to here? It's only even connected by a crappy pun, and the actual phrase "Know Thyself" should qualify for a trope itself, if not just redirect to Be Yourself, or some other Aesop.
Ponders too much; thinks too little. Currently goes by Knowlessman.
Does a person falling in love with themselves but not sexually count as this??? I mean, there's no screwing part...
