No, because that has to do with the character being killed and resurrected, and is a completely different trope to this.

If it's handwaved or largely ignored that a character's personality has changed significantly, then I don't this the organic/non-organic thing matters.

Could this also apply for character differences between Adaptations? Or do we need a separate Trope for that.

So this is basically the character version of games like Star Fox Dinosaur Planet and Super Mario Bros 2.. a brand new creation gets a familiar face pasted on?
