What is the difference between Sailor Fuku and Seifuku? The page's example has examples of Sailor Fuku, but the protagonist of The Machine Girl is stated to be wearing a Seifuku. Can someone put the two side-by-side for clarification?
Hide / Show RepliesSeifuku is Japanese for a school uniform as it literally translates as "school clothes". while Sailor Fuku as the name would suggest is a sailor dress. Although yeah this page has a serious problem in not distinguishing between a sailor uniform and other school uniforms

Edited by Sakubara "Life's like a movie, write your own ending. Keep believing, keep pretending."-Jim HensonNot sure if this counts as an example, since it predates anime itself by several years, but here goes. In the Disney short 'All the Cats Join In', there's a quick shot of a "square" girl who's passed on by the cool cats. She's wearing an older version of a sailor fuku, big thick glasses and a straw hat...and looks like she could have stepped right out of an anime from The '80s or The '90s.
