Video Games

  • This is a recurring tradition in the Mega Man series. After you defeat the eight Robot Masters/Mavericks and go after Dr. Wily/Sigma, you're forced to fight the game's eight bosses again one after another without stopping. Fortunately, you can usually decide what order to fight the bosses in and they'll all give you a life-refilling powerup after you destroy them.
  • In the video game Arkham Asylum Batman faces Bane, Scarecrow, Poison Ivy, Riddler, Killer Croc and Joker all in one night, though not all by plan. Oh, and hundreds of hardened, muscular, armed thugs.
    • The sequel looks set to include even more villains and thugs. Even SWAT teams.

Removed. As the description notes, in video games this is called a Boss Rush. Wrong trope.
