Should there be a line or two in here about the Rookie Red Ranger specifically being the one put in charge of the squad? The trope hovers perilously close to Chilly Reception at the moment, but a couple of lines explaining that he's basically taking over would differentiate it nicely.

Red Rangers from Power Rangers are more affiliated with Leadership then the most powerful to me.
So I at first thought Sailor Moon must qualify, she's the Leader, but not the most Powerful. And comes off less Experienced even though besides Venus she was technically active the longest.
Going over the examples this need clarification. Does it mean the Rookie being the Leader, the most Powerful/important in some abstract sense? Some seem like their just the Sixth Ranger being the POV character, like The Three Musketeers.
Jason of Jason And The Argonauts is arguably the originally. The Argonauts where basically the JLA or Avengers of Ancient Greek Mythology, except for Jason himself who was the newbie.
