Should an Enemy Without count for the purpose of this trope? Technically, they're a manifestation of X character's dark side, not X character. The reason I ask this is because it relates to Bernkastel.

I wouldn't think so. They seem too different. Rogue Protagonist deals with the protagonist themselves turning bad. For some clarification, what's Bernkastel?

Bernkastel is the Witch of Miracles from Umineko No Naku Koro Ni. She is best described as a splinter personality of Rika Furude representing all of the bitterness and rage of the Rikas that did not survive the June 1983 Ground Hog Day Loop in Higurashi. In essence, she's Rika's (one of the main characters') Enemy Without.
