Is this for albums (that may or may not become plays), plays with specific characteristics (you know... a trope), or just any play (or TV episode) that calls itself a rock opera?
Maybe make two separate categories for things that call themselves rock operas, and things that are closer to the original concept-album genre?
Also, I feel like there was something about many of them involving a second character who's a psychological manifestation of the main character but the main character doesn't realize that until the end, a la Fight Club? Maybe that's another trope...
