I think this trope needs to not have a sub-page for every single work that only has a couple of references, and do what most other tropes do and have subpages and then other examples. For instance, I want to list a reference Samurai Jack made to Space Ace, but it'd be the only example on the page.

Does it count as "referenced by" count if, on a television show, a character happens to be reading a book or you can see it on a shelf or something, and they don't call attention to it? The Warrior Cats series hasn't been referenced too much, but there are two known instances of it appearing as a general prop in a show, and I'm wondering if those should be added to the list.
