''RWBY: A troper is edit warring Cinder's entry, so I've brought it here for discussion.

  • Cinder has black hair and from volumes 1 - 3, wore a red dress with black shorts underneath. After being maimed by Ruby at the end of volume 3, Cinder's outfit consists of a long, dark red dress, a black mask covering the scarred half of her face and her left arm has been replaced with a [black Grimm arm. Starting from volume 6. Cinder wears a black tank top, shorts and shoulder cape.

This is trope shoehorning. She wears red for most of the show. A black mask that's hidden under her Peek A Bangs black hair and a Grimm arm that is completely hidden from sight underneath the red sleeve of her dress so no-one can see it isn't this trope. When she switches to black, the only red on her are the underside of her boots — she has to lift up her foot before anyone can see it (the red doesn't even make it to the sole's rim). Even Salem isn't this trope, and she's a far better visible mix of black and red than Cinder is. Adam's the only true example of this trope.

I've taken this example to the Is This An Example? thread.

As per the Is This An Example? thread, Cinder is not an example of Red and Black and Evil All Over.

If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.

Can Edward Elric or definitely GOOD guys, get in here as aversions? Because he is far from an anti hero, and his iconic outfit s a red long coat with a black shirt, black leather pants and black boots. Just wondering.

I am inclined to think not. Such a colour combination is not generally tropable.

I want to check with you guys to see if Giygas fits before I add him to the article. He's definitely red, black, and evil though...

So, guys... Is there a compelling reason why the two Real Life examples are the Nazis and some random American high school? Ô_ó

Why are there even Real Life examples on this page? Last I checked, evil tropes were not allowed to have Real Life examples because determining who or what is evil could start a Flame War.
