This genre definitely Needs More Love Trope-wise.
In particular, I'm wanting to see a Trope page for a Warm Up Act: some 2 bit either gets the crowd into a good laugh riot by being a hidden comedy gem, or makes the main talent look good by being subpar. Other media have related Acts (esp. Music, except So Bad, It's Good isn't really workable there,) but Stand Up seems to me the most distinctive for that Trope.
