On the note of quotes, I've been watching Yuriofwind and thought of this.
"You, being a smart gun owner, quote-on-quote, shoot a Game Boy cartridge, or the Game Boy itself, so far I'm with you. How did you shoot yourself in the eye, though?"
Not sure if it's better or worse, but I snagged it here. Near 14:20. Please note that he's being sarcastic when he says the character is a smart gun owner, that isn't the case, otherwise, he probably wouldn't be shooting at a Game Boy.
Edited by 76.226.248.217 "Come on! Let's get this show on the road."We need to better define what the difference between this, artisitc lisnce: gun safety, and I just shot marvin in the face, or combine all three. Their is just to much overlap right now.
Hide / Show RepliesThey were originally in the same trope, and had a massive cluster fuck until it got split. Artistic Lisence Gun Safety and Reckless Gun Usage are parallel tropes, which one applies depends on what character doesn't engage in proper gun safety: the first is for people who should know better, the second is for people who don't necessarily. I Just Shot Marvin in the Face is what happens when somebody (doesn't matter which of the two) doesn't follow gun safety and gets shot as a result of it.
Fight smart, not fair.Shouldn't the San Andreas one be put into "juggling loaded guns" instead of this one. It was played for laughs. That scene was followed by the arnie expy shooting up the radio station, cutting away, an announcment they are facing technical difficulties.
Is the Max Payne cover really count? The cover foreshadowing their relationship. It shows that they have some romantic feeling for each other(by embracing each other) but didn't quite trust each other( by pointing their gun at each other).
Edited by Skywalker007 Hide / Show RepliesRemoved it since it's disputed. In the future, Repair Dont Respond.
- Max Payne 2, The cover art shows Max and Mona embracing while still holding their guns with their fingers resting on the triggers.
- Might not really count. The cover foreshadowing their relationship. It shows that they have some romantic feeling for each other(by embracing each other) but didn't quite trust each other( by pointing their gun at each other).
I removed the following example
This is not a character being reckless with a gun. This is a character being reckless around another character with a gun. The character with the gun saw a threat, aimed, and hit his target. It may have been a tragic accident but his gun usage was appropriate to the situation.
