Does a Deleted Scene from an earlier episode getting pulled up by the writers when they realize it could work as a flashback in a later episode count as a sort of variation on re-cut, or is that something else entirely?

I came to this page in search of TV extended versions listed and detailed. Like the Dune cut mentioned, apparently many films used to be lengthened for TV to sell more ad space. In recent years some of these have been released. If there are any more examples anyone can document I personally would appreciate it right now! Under Superman more information is already available regarding a TV extended edit which thankfully is released on blu-ray. Thanks.
