I wonder if the the U.S. dollar coin Real Life entry should be amplified. The Susan B. Anthony dollar is close to the size and colour of a quarter (no doubt one reason for its unpopularity), while the newer dollar coins are thicker and brass/gold coloured. Also, vending machines where I live take the dollar coins without problem, as do automated pay machines at parking garages.
