Is that trope really necessary? There aren't that many exemple that specifically tie to the "Rabbit out of a hat" subversion and just being a rabbit who can do magic doesn't seem more specialized than any other beastperson with the same abilities.
It's not like rabbitfolks in fiction had a higher chance of being wizards than other beastmen races.
