Surely there's no scientific dissent on the obvious fact that sex uses up energy and leaves you tired and in rest-mode afterwards..

That's what I'm thinking too. That part of the article feels more like Writer on Board than anything.

I mean, it varies from person to person. Some people get amped up, and since the description specifically cites athletes abstaining from sex a whole day in advance... it's not really that noticeable.

  • The second-to-last episode of the anime of 11eyes. Oh sure, they claim it's for a Deus Sex Machina, but as events immediately follows shows, it didn't make any difference. Given that it was Snap Backed into being the main character's precognition power anyway...
  • Before the climactic battle in Jade Empire, the player can potentially spend the night with Sky, Silk Fox, Dawn Star, or Silk Fox and Dawn Star, depending on how they behaved towards their party members.
  • A similar event occurs before The Dragon's army lays siege to the player's keep in Neverwinter Nights 2.

This is listed both here and Must Not Die a Virgin. Anyone know which applies?

Another possible example of the trope could be Rico and Flores in the film version of Starship Troopers? R&R on Planet P before the Rorke's Drift-esque Bug attack on that base?
