If anyone sees this, where on the scale would a game with a story and pre-defined characters, but none of whom you interact with, fall under? That is, the player character (if there is one at all) is operating entirely outside of the narrative. The scale here does not account for games with complete and total Gameplay and Story Segregation in which the two are progressing totally independently of each other.

Also, where would a game belong if the story as explained in the manual turns out to be completely different than the actual game, occupying different areas on this scale?

Which category does the game go where I control a separate entity with primitive personality in order to control the protagonist?

Wow, I finally launched this.

I decided to just go with examples that don't fall neatly into any one category, but if anyone else feels that there's cause to add notable examples of each type, go ahead.

Thanks for launching this, it looks good. I'd say the examples that clearly fit on the subtropes should be listed there, rather than doubling up. I don't know about Advisor and You Are You, though. Controller, at least, would be too common to worry about, anyway.

Support stupid freshness, yo.
