Can this trope apply to anything that is more or less "Hellish Death World Planet"?
Edited by 76.28.217.19 Hide / Show RepliesNot sure. If anything, both arelook like Sister Tropes, but that's it.
135 - 169 - 273 - 191 - 188 - 230 - 300Er, am I the only one not amused by the title? First off, it's stupid to censor Hell, as the words origins are religious in nature, and the book of that religion, even the God, say 'Hell', not 'Heck', making the 'explitive' nature of that word laughable at best.
Second (And to me, more importantly), it just doesn't roll off of the tongue. I do understand and support changing the name from what it originally was, as to avoid confusion and clear things up, but... Well, come on, we could have done better.
EDIT: Shame on me, I played Earthworm Jim as a kid and I didn't get the reference. My apologies. I'm leaving the first paragraph in merely to show that I was Completely Missing The Point. Still, even though I loved Earthworm Jim, I think there are better names we could use.
Edited by Inferno232 Hide / Show RepliesProbably are, but out of the other choices, people voted Planet Heck. I proposed The Stygian Abyss (From Ultima), and I think The Shores Of Hell were in there as well, but people went for Planet Heck.

Don't take life too seriously. It's only a temporary situation.Okay, so it seems while I was distracted we went ahead and renamed/refocused this page to the Hell-themed but not necessarily extra hard levels like we discussed, but why does Bonus Level of Hell still redirect here? Where is the page for the not-necessarily-hell-themed extra difficult secret added bonus level the trope originally referred to?
Hide / Show RepliesPartially apathy, partially after the change some people didn't understand the need for the change and changed it back, and then there was a bit of a mixup as things were explained...
It was something I was wanting to do, but never got to it, was making a new page for the hard bonus levels, called Brutal Bonus Level, to avoid confusion with the hell-theme.

See you in the discussion pages.
This seems to be two tropes mixed up. The video game examples are Hell being a playable level while the non video game examples are planets being compared to or modelled after Hell
