It's the name of one of the oldest examples in all fiction. And the curly brackets are just a result of this site dealing with single word links.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.Shouldn't this be a page about Pegasus then? zerky thought there was a thing where you weren't supposed to name tropes after characters from works (no matter how well-known they may be). At the very least it should be named to something including the word "pegasus" so that this page doesn't get confused with the actual Pegasus.
She is also well-aware of how curly brackets work. They seem to be somewhat undesirable, though. In the YKTTW a lot of single-word trope titles are vetoed because people don't seem to like using them.
There are also only 41 wicks and literally zero inbounds to the current title. Not a very healthy trope as-is, and very little to nothing would break from a rename.
Edited by zerkyPegasus is from a myth, not any particular work. Plus there are some exceptions when character names are synonymous with terms, such as The Pollyanna, since optimistic people are often called "Pollyannas".

Since the trope repair shop is clogged at the moment, shouldn't this trope be called Winged Horse instead? Pegasus as a term for a winged horse is kind of a malapropism and also requires curly brackets rather than a wikiword.
